There is almost an equal amount of bycatch being caught as sharks and most of these sharks are not target species. Dolphins, whales, turtle, sharks, rays, tuna, bonita are an example of species caught. These nets should be removed... The drumlines are baited every second day attracting sharks to them - this is destructive long line fishing at its worse from one end of the state of qld to the other. Lets stop this killing of sharks and other marine species.

The nets are not only present in the state of NSW, Australia but here in QLD they are in the ocean everyday of the year – also in combination with drumlines.
